Highly motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are sought for a dynamic K-12 school setting serving students ages 5-21 in Jamaica, NY. This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on student communication development through individualized and group therapy sessions.
Available Positions Include
- One full-time opening
- One part-time position (2-3 days per week; flexible based on availability and caseload)
- Maternity leave coverage (approximately July through October)
Work hours typically run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a weekly commitment of 2530 hours. The contract duration aligns with the current school year, with potential for renewal for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily speech-language therapy to individuals and groups
- Document daily treatment notes
- Prepare quarterly and annual progress reports
- Complete draft Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct monthly self-audits of notes and maintain attendance records
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active New York State SLP license and TSSLD certification
- Experience working in school or healthcare settings preferred
